Dr. Philip Finocchiaro’s passion for primary care is reflected in every aspect of his practice. Deeply invested in his patients' health and well-being, he treats everyone with the genuine care and empathy they deserve. Grounded in traditional, patient-centered medicine, his approach focuses on building strong, long-term relationships and delivering tailored care aligned with each patient's unique goals. Navigating modern healthcare can be complex, but Dr. Finocchiaro serves as a trusted guide. He ensures his patients receive comprehensive support by seamlessly coordinating care with a strong network of trusted specialists. Dr. Finocchiaro has practiced primary care medicine for nearly 30 years and worked as a hospitalist at one of Boston’s leading hospitals. For the past five years, he has owned and practiced at Personalized Medical Care, where he provides highly individualized, comprehensive care to his patients.

Partnering with a doctor you trust - someone who knows you beyond your medical chart and is committed to making sure you feel cared for and supported - is at the heart of good medicine. It’s also the foundation of Dr. McCowan’s approach to primary care. Dr. McCowan believes that the best medical care begins with a strong, lasting relationship between doctor and patient. She takes the time to understand each patient as an individual - their health, priorities, and long-term goals - and provides thoughtful, personalized care throughout every stage of life. She is a strong advocate for her patients, helping them navigate complex medical decisions within an increasingly complicated healthcare system. Dr. McCowan has cared for patients throughout Greater Boston for the past 10 years. Prior to joining Personalized Medical Care in 2023, she practiced primary care at Newton-Wellesley Medical Group. She considers it a true privilege to serve as a trusted partner in her patients’ care. Outside of medicine, Dr. McCowan enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

Nirah has nearly 20 years of clinical experience and has cared for many of our patients for more than 15 years. A graduate of Regis College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Nirah is a compassionate and dedicated nurse whose clinical experience, gentle approach, and longstanding relationships with our patients provide comfort, reassurance, and continuity of care. As an experienced registered nurse, Nirah plays an important role in supporting patients throughout their care. She assists with clinical needs, patient education, follow-up care, medication and treatment coordination, and communication between patients, physicians, and specialists. She also helps ensure that necessary testing, consultations, and next steps in a patient’s care are carried out smoothly and efficiently.

Pattie has more than 20 years of experience as a registered nurse and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Fitchburg State University. After many years in clinical nursing, she brought her healthcare experience to Personalized Medical Care, where she now serves as Practice Manager. Pattie combines her nursing background with a deep understanding of patient care and practice operations. She oversees the day-to-day management of the practice while working closely with the physicians and staff to ensure patients receive the highly personalized, attentive experience that is central to Personalized Medical Care. Outside of the office, Pattie enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking, and exercising.

Robin joined Personalized Medical Care in November 2020 as our patient care coordinator. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Emmanuel College and brings many years of experience in business management, along with exemplary customer service skills. Known for her warm smile and excellent interpersonal skills, Robin is dedicated to making every patient feel comfortable and supported. She especially enjoys helping patients coordinate medical appointments with specialists and arrange testing. Her calm and reassuring demeanor is a valued part of the patient experience. Outside of work, Robin enjoys spending time with her husband and three adult children and staying active at the gym.
